Gap Premium Denim

premium denimYou may have seen loads of advertisements lately for Gap Premium Denim. Let me tell ya, it's definitely all it's cracked up to be. I always buy Gap jeans, but I'm really liking these cuts of denim. I bought some premium skinny jeans a couple weeks ago and I love them. Polyvore.com held a contest for Gap called, "Born to..." I created a look that described what I'm born to do. I said that I'm born to learn because that's exactly what I love doing every day. I love learning about God, fashion, people, music, art...you name it. It might be cheesy, but it's true. I used items that reminded me of college. Simple and comfortable.

Legs for Days

tightsPatterned tights and short skirts are a combo that you won't want to miss this fall. Add cute flats, boots or booties and your lower half will be lookin' good. I remember wearing patterned tights when i was three. They had cute, fuzzy red hearts on them. It's crazy that adults are wearing these now.

Imogen Heap has a new album coming out August 24, 2009 - "Ellipse." It's a amazing. Take a listen below. Airy, light, flowing fabrics come to mind when I listen to this music.

Silver Slippers

abs silver flatsFor the past four or five years, my closet has been home to silver ballet flats. I've been through four pairs over the years, and some how I always manage to replace my worn out silver slippers with a new pair. Ryan usually rolls his eyes along with the rest of my family that refers to them as my stinky shoes. haha. (sometimes your feet sweat...that's all I have to say about that). Well, this summer I said good-bye to some Nine West ballet flats and "hello" to some A.B.S. ones. =)

Gala

shoeMy work's annual gala is coming up next month. I always look forward to it because we get to dress up in cocktail attire. So, for fun I put together an outfit using Polyvore. I chose a black dress because I feel most comfortable in black, and since this is work related I'm going to be running around every where. To shy away from being a complete bore, I found these colorful shoes and bag to brighten things up a bit and some sparkles to add some funk. A smokey eye is always special for evening events with some pale gloss and fun nail polish.

Now, if only I had tons of money to go buy a great cocktail dress....hmmm.
