Frances Lookbook

Shopping local boutiques is something that I wish I did more of, but one boutique that I frequent is Frances Vintage. I mentioned that I'm doing a workshop in their space earlier this week (click here for details). I'm SO excited for that, and I'm also excited to share some beautiful images by Michelle Herrick of clothing that you can purchase at Frances right now.

Michelle and I teamed up to create a lookbook for the boutique. With Paige Ashcroft's amazing makeup and hair skills and Tayele's effortless modeling, it was a project to remember. I want to own everything in that shop, and I hope that after looking at these images you do too.

Hats with Cardigan Empire

Hats are tricky accessories. I often hear my clients say, "I'm just not a hat person," or "I just don't have a hat face." That's so silly! There's a hat for everyone out there. They come in all different shapes, sizes and colors.

I got together with my style pal Reachel Bagley of Cardigan Empire to talk about this very subject. She is such a delight to be around. I encourage you to follow her blog and subscribe to her amazing videos. Reachel really breaks things down to the how and why certain clothes work for different body shapes. Check out this really cool infographic Reachel made to help you choose the right hat for you, and then watch this video for our personal thoughts.

Nick & Kelli Styled

Nick and Kelli are two of the most gorgeous people on the planet. If they ever have kids I know they will be models. I had the chance to style them for an engagement session with Kym Ventola last month. Because Nick lives all of the way in Yuma, Kelli and went shopping together for his clothes as well as hers. It was a very successful shopping trip ending with two outfits for each them, which is really my goal every time I style a couple for engagement photos. Have two outfits each gives my clients a chance to show their personalities in a casual and dressy way. Not to mention, if one outfit doesn't translate as well on camera they have a backup. Katie Jean Sneak Peek

I love when I can help small businesses flourish. There's something inside of me that gets SO pumped to tell the world about someone's creative ability. I suppose that's the PR person in me. Last month, I had the chance to lend some styling skills to Katie Jean - a fashion designer who specializes in handmade womenswear. She is SO talented. I wanted to wear everything that I put my hands on. She has recently relocated to Brooklyn, New York and I'm so excited to watch her design business explode. Just check out this sneak peek of her spring collection captured by Kym Ventola to see exactly what I mean.
