NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

It's that time of year! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is easily the store's best sale all year long, with major price cuts storewide. What makes this sale extra special is that all of the sale items are brand new arrivals. Pretty crazy, right? Since the sale hits at the end of summer, I always use it as a chance to kickstart my fall wardrobe. 

The sale's early access for cardholders started late last week, so I shopped the sale and rounded up some of my very favorite style steals under $100. If you aren't a Nordstrom cardholder, the sale will become available to you on July 22. However, I'd definitely recommend becoming a cardholder. Nordstrom has a great rewards program and even offers a debit card option, so you never have to worry about your shopping getting you into trouble.

STYLISH BACKPACKS FOR MOMS

My favorite thing to shop for when I found out that I was pregnant with Elle was my diaper bag. In my research though I found so many bags that looked too cutesy and didn't embody the current fashion trends. This time around when I searched for a bag for Levi I didn't need to go too far to find what I wanted. Fashion for moms has gotten so much better!

I really wanted a backpack this time around because having both hands free for two kids is a must. I loved that this backpack by Fawn Designs looked like real leather, but it was actually water resistant faux leather. I also loved the gold zipper detail. It made me feel like I wasn't carrying a diaper bag at all.

The one thing that I have realized in carrying this bag verses my large Petunia Picklebottom bag is there isn't as much room and pockets as my tote bag. I would say for traveling for long days spent away from the house I need the larger tote bag. However, if you only have one kiddo or you aren't going to need the whole kitchen sink, the Fawn backpack is PERFECT.

I Love L.A.M.B.

Gwen Stefani is a fashion icon and her label, L.A.M.B., is a great representation of excellent taste. The label takes classic silhouettes and bumps them up a notch without sacrificing quality. The fashion label's shoes and handbags are my favorite. Though they'll cost you a pretty penny, the leather used for the shoes and bags is premium quality. My mom just bought the pair of shoes pictured above off of Ebay for a steal. Not to mention, she has a tote bag that I've been coveting for the past year. If only I had size 8 feet and could walk in three inch stilettos (sigh).
