My Summer Outfit

A simple white dress is my summer go-to item when I want to get ready for a date with my hubby, go out with the girls or have a business meeting. You can dress it up or down with sandals or heels, a blazer or a chambray shirt, jewelry or a simple headband.

This outfit is what I would wear shopping or to a coffee meeting. It's relaxed and yet put together. I also love this combination because the chambray shirt can easily come off and be worn around my waist when it's hot, but it's the perfect cover up with I'm in a cold air conditioned building.

The tiny white polka dots in this Shop and Apparel shirt really tie in the white dress. I added my white, vintage Dooney & Bourke bag and a colorful headband to pull it all together.

Every summer I can't get enough fruit - starting with mangoes and ending with blueberries. I just adore the fruity season. It seems as though the design world is too. I keep noticing lemons, pineapples, oranges, strawberries and bananas everywhere I look. Check out some fruity inspiration below. WARNING: You may start craving a smoothie.

There you have it. Of course, how can you think of fruit and not have Mrs. Doubtfire come to mind? Here's a clip for old times sake.

It's the best feeling to share projects that I have worked on and that have been published. Sometimes I have to wait months to share them with you, so when I finally have the green light it's like Christmas morning to me. Screen Shot 2013-06-01 at 11.53.31 AM

I recently collaborated with Mark Morgan and Stephanie Neiheisel to create a bohemian inspired photo shoot. With amazing modeling by Abrianna Coons with Jani Model Management, the character of this wild bohemian girl came to life. Sporting pieces such as over-the knee boots, a cut-off Ramones t-shirt, a spiked hat and a utility vest, Abrianna became a this tough girl with a laid back style.

w25 magazine was kind enough to publish this shoot. You can check out the spread here and also view some other really artistic projects.

Let me know what you think! Do you have an inner wild Crocodile Dundee style?

Menswear for Women

I love getting to style my friends, and I especially love getting to style Promise Tangeman because the girl has a KILLER closet. Together, we came up with three outfits showing how to wear men's clothing as women's wear for the April issue of EMMA Magazine. Her hubby, Brian Wurzell, also has fabulous style. Are you surprised? NO! haha. So, with their closet powers combined, three looks came together showing how to wear a guy's t-shirt, boy friend jeans with suspenders and a button down chambray shirt. LOOK #1 Men's T

Photography Inspiration

It seems like any day now I'm going to meet my daughter, and I couldn't be more excited. I know I'm going to fall head-over-heels and never want let her go. But in this very moment, after scrolling through loads of images on Slow Motion Living, I just want to jump off of this couch and start creating beautiful imagery. I don't think my hunger for creating beautiful moments will ever go away, and I can't wait until I can get back out on the streets and continue doing it. Until then, I'm just going to enjoy the work of others, and I hope you do too.
